it has john paul jones in it. what more do you really need to know?
anything john paul jones does is amazing in my opinion. he really is one of the if not the greatest rock bass players of all time. but honestly...his talents are so much more than just being a great rock bass player. his accolades are too many to mention. and if you dont know....he was the bass player for a lil ol band you may have heard of called Led Zeppelin.

One Hard Rockin' CD
I liked, not loved, this well made and produced hard rockin' CD by Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, and the great John Paul Jones. If you are looking for a Led Zep or a Foo Fighters knock-off, this isn't it. This has the unique sound that you would expect from each of these artists, including the opening track kicking off with Grohl's awesome drums. You will want to pump up the volume as you drive down the road feelin' bad. It is a fun listen. The downside: many of the tracks sound alike. Although the music is professionally tight, it is not terribly original. There are dozens of bands that put out the same music. You will recognize the artists' contributions, but they really do not distinguish themselves from other bands of the same genre. All in all, the CD is quality and worth the ... Nice to have my heroes produce truly exciting, exceptional music. It contrasts with my disappointment at Chickenfoot's phoned in effort; that's sort of bar band good, but not really interesting. Is there a better rhythm section than Jones/Grohl? Grohl brings the Bonham groove without being boiler-plate. Homme adds the kind of Zeppelin inspired riffs heard on Queen of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf. Jones skills in production blend great jams into infectious power rock.
