  • MacDonald at his best

This is a series of nine volumes, some are sequence volumes (1 of 2 or 1 of 3). The set we got was a former library set and thus not in excellent shape but good and intact. MacDonald was the mentor for C. S. Lewis and his writings on fiction...the Narnia Chronicles for example. For followers of C S Lewis, this is an excellent start. Some of the vocabulary comes from MacDonald's Irish background and you may have to look up some terms, but overall the volumes are easy readable. I would always recommend MacDonald's writings, even when some are hard to follow him.
