    Grand Funk Railroad ROCKS!

    Grand Funk Railroad (GFR)was one of the best rock bands of the 70s. Their sound was heavy (for the times) but very melodic. This three-piece band definitely sounded more like a 5 piece band. This disc captures the essence of GFR. From songs like "Closer to home/I'm Your Captain", "Walk Like a man" and well-known "We're an American Band" to "Rock-n-Roll Soul", "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "Bad Time", GFR displays their talents in their rockin' songs for all to enjoy. This album ROCKS! Highly recommended collection for anyone who wants to get to know or already knows GFR!

    Good music... Lots of memories

    My boyfriend and I are children of the 70's. We love our old time rock and roll. We sit and listen and reminisce about our experiences during those times, he in Kansas City and I in Dayton. I love Mean Mistreater and he loves them ALL. He is a musician (drummer) and when he played back in the "old days" his band did a lot of GF covers. This greatest hits CD is a treasure for us to enjoy together.

    All the best songs from Grand Funk. This album and "All of the Girls in the World Beware" is about all the GF you'd need to have a great collection.
