    Non stop British humour at it's best

    Here is another excellent example of why, in my opinion, the United Kingdom have better TV series and films than the junk America keeps making for the last quarter century. Better, meaning that they are more intelligent, more mature, and just have better plots and situations that are truly keeping the viewer wanting more. I love so many British shows. I have not watched American TV or gone to a movie for over 20 years. There is no more originality in Hollywood anymore, and it's been that way for quite a while. It's a sewer pipe of garbage, nothing new. This particular series is another time period (mid 1930's) masterpiece indeed. Each episode is top notch acting and humor. The Durrells are simply wonderful. This series is worth having in your DVD collection.

    The Durrells: More than meets the eye

    We love the series and the three books it is based on. The only problem is that Season One arrived with a broken jewel case (which I have mended as well as possible with a glue). For those wanted to know more about the family, Micahael Haggs's 2017 book, The Durrells of Corfu, offers a true and moving honest account of this remarkable family.
