Return To those Saturday Matinees
During the 1950s and 1960s the Hollywood westerns of the 1930s and 1940s made a comeback at Saturday matinee shows in theaters across the country on Saturday mornings. You would see a few cartoons and a chapter from a serial followed by an exciting western movie. Sure you know who the good guy was, and who was the bad guy, and yes Good always triumphs over evil. But these were well produced and acted movies. Hollywood today does not produce westerns today because it costs too much to rent the horses, according to studio bosses. But there is no need for new movies when films of this quality are available at such a resasonable price. Imagine 50 full length movies in one package for one low cost. If you watch one a day it will take almost two months to watch them all. These films are kid ... Good OLD Westerns
This purchase was a good buy for the number of movies received. These movies are so old that there are some I have never seen. I know they show westerns on TV on weekends but some of these have never been shown on todays' stations. It's nice to have something like these that I can enjoy when I get tired of the usual blood and guts action movies with all their killing, bloody scenes and total destruction of practically everything in the movie sets. It seems a shame when they destroy automobiles that are farr better than some people can afford to drive. The thing that really burns me about some movies is when they burn down an old house that was built by real craftsman of the past just to make a movie. What a waste. When i was young,the good guys always triumphed over the bad guys which was an incentive to be good. This is not true of todays' movies. The old westerns were a lot closer to reality.

Great Variety, great price. Already had it. Avaiable at local retailers.I did not like th long lead time to ship, but no cost shipping. It was priced wel, but we already had it, as it is readily available in Walmart, Kmart, etc. Nothing memorable about it.
