I loved the whole series up until the last disc on the 3rd series. I couldn’t get it to play . It kept freezing and jumping. So I don’t know how the series ends. But up until then it was entertaining and fun to watch.

You can depend on the English drama programs to develop their characters. The episodes in this drama take place in a small coastal Scottish village. The first couple of stories in the first year seem to struggle in finding which direction they wanted to go. I found myself hoping they would settle down and somehow get it right. I am glad we were patient. All the following stories were well acted and we fell in love with all the characters of the village. We found ourselves wanting to live in a place like that. The settings - gorgeous! The English drama people know the camera angles, the backgrounds, and the right way to frame a picture. When are the Americans ever going to get it? Worth watching and some stories may stick with you a while.
VERY tough to pick up the Scottish accent. Some episodes are very funny. Some have a serious side. Some will stick with you for weeks. Too bad the BBC declined to continue the series. Standard definition PAL or NTSC. Full frame not 16x9. Ensemble cast. Great characters and actors. Good dog!
