Simple install, electric power required, physically large drive.
I plugged it into a server, and it worked. If you can plug in a USB cable and power cord, you can use this device. It has only been in place a few days, so I can not speak about the long-term usage or durability. It was larger than I first imagined it would be, because it takes up about double the space that the 1TB external Seagates I require. The 1TB drives were also powered via USB, whereas these 500GB drives require electrical power and USB. Overall, so far, so good.I plugged it into a server, and it worked. Great value for the money, fast and simple, Just a great product.
I bought this computer to free up space on my computer. This device works great, I have never bought or used a external hard drive before but I heard Seagate was a great brand and as far as I can tell this things works perfectly. It's fast and easy to start up.

Faulty drive.
