  • Childhood memories and WW2

I grew up on titles like G. I. Combat and they feed my imagination about the war. These issues are from before my time, from the early 60s but with fantastic art by Heath & Kubert and others. Sure, it's a little corny and repetitive. A ghost helps a tank get through each battle, a tank that can single handedly take out planes, superior enemy tanks and whatever else the Axis sends their way. A genre that's long gone now, the war was still fresh in the public's mind. Now it seems like a million years ago.
