About this product

Product Information

A mysterious and technologically advanced third party joins the fray in the third installment of EA Los Angeles' alternate history real-time strategy series. With the Allies closing in, the Soviets make one last-gasp effort to turn the tide of the war, and use an experimental time-travel device to kill Albert Einstein before he can create the technology that gives the Allies such an advantage. After a successful mission, the Soviets return to discover a weakened Allied army, but also an entirely new and extremely powerful foe in the Empire of the Rising Sun.

Each of the three factions in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 get distinct campaigns full of fast-paced action and quirky humor, and naval warfare is given new weight thanks to oceans full of resources and a large number of units with amphibious capabilities. Conquering the seas is particularly important given that the new Empire of the Rising Sun, in addition to its strengths in robotics and martial arts, happens to specialize in naval warfare. Gamers looking for teamwork can choose from nine unique AI commanders, or they can head online with friends to experience the entire storyline through an extended series of co-operative missions designed to emphasize strategy and coordinated attacks.

  • Red Alert 3

It was an alright game. Very well made, graphically stunning, but not "command and conquer" material. Gameplay is very slow, and is not configurable like the previous titles in this series. Not for the die-hard Red Alert fans. It didn't amaze me at all, and alot of units and features were over complicated, producing alot of confusing and hectic yet still slow gameplay. There are units in the game that are very fun though. Replay value is very high if you enjoy the game at all when you first play it. I would say all this game has to offer is stunning graphics, a masterful storyline with memorable live-action cut scenes, and a unique and original spin on the RTS genre.

  • Red Alert 3. Close But not Perfect..

I got this game as soon as it came out, DRM stuff!! To be honest, Until i read the reviews, I had no idea it even had it. It installed fine, It works fine, And it is by far the most fun i have had in a Game to date.(Well this year anyway)Right to the game The cut scenes are quite funny with a great cast, with the likes of Tim Curry, George Takei and Gemma Atkinson. The game is quite cartoonish, But when neck deep in a battle you don't notice it. C&C fans will love it. And there plenty here to keep you playing for a while.

  • Red Alert 3 (PC Games, 2008)

Red Alert 3 breaks new ground in the RTS genre, featuring a fully co-operative campaign while bringing back the series’ light-hearted style and classic, action-oriented gameplay. In Red Alert 3, the desperate leadership of a doomed Soviet Union travels back in time to change history and restore the glory of Mother Russia. The time travel mission goes awry, creating an alternate timeline where technology has followed an entirely different evolution, a new superpower has been thrust on to the world stage, and World War III is raging. The Empire of the Rising Sun has risen in the East, making World War III a three-way struggle between the Soviets, the Allies, and the Empire with armies fielding wacky and wonderful weapons and technologies like Tesla coils, heavily armed War Blimps, ...

  • Not bad, very different from RA2

Pretty good game, big change from RA2 (new maker, too). Have to get used to new building icons, etc to be as quick as I was in RA2. Have to play scenarios with an ally, either real person or AI, not sure how to turn that off. Ally can be annoying, making moves you arent ready for...have had to attack the ally a few times to slow them down.
