absolutely THE best trilogy ever! Christian and non-christians will enjoy these books. Do NOT bother buying just one....these are page turners and one as good as the next. Go ahead and get the set!!! I have read these and given the sets as gifts. If someone thinks they do not read that much....they will with " The Mark of the Lion". Francine Rivers is an eloquent, Godly woman that breathes life into her characters that everyone knows. From the beginning you will continue to turn pages until you have turned the last page in the third novel, and feel badly that it is over. There's excitement, romance, heroes, villians, and heroines. What more can I say except that you will only be sorry if you do NOT get this trilogy to enjoy!absolutely THE best trilogy ever! Christian and non-christians will enjoy these books. Mark of the Lion Series by Francine Rivers
I read sometimes 3 and 4 books in a weeks time. Francine Rivers totally captured me and kept my attention as well as my heart throughout the entire series. I found the beginning of the first book to be a little dull and decided to continue reading. I was later so glad that I did, because without knowing that first "dull" part of book 1, I wouldn't have understood how the main character ended up where she was. This series was passed from my aunt, mother, myself, husband, my husbands boss, my grandfather, and is still being passed around. I bought this series to read while rehabilitating from surgery after a serious injury. I was captivated by the characters right from the beginning and could hardly wait to go from book to book (there are 3). This story follows a jewish slave who has to hide her true Christian identity from the Roman soldiers or face the lions in the Colosseum (which she does at one point) and about a Roman gladiator forced into fighting after getting torn from his home. The story follows their lives and the lives of an elite Roman family and unfolds throughout their lives. It is so nice to have a novel that has great characters and a great story line that is written well. Wonderful books!
This is the third time I've urchased this series. I love it and keep lending it out and don't get it back. When my granddaughter requested them, I could not find them on my bookshelf - again! So, this is my third set. I love the content.
