Thank you! Shipping was very fast. The seller graded it merely as "good", but I think it may be "very good". The price was low. It was protectively packaged for transport. I highly recommend this most trustworthy seller to all buyers without hesitation!

A+. The cost for the dvd and shipping were combined, which was great. The item was in great shape, as described. Quick response from seller. Item was sent Canada Post, to save costs, during the Christmas season so it took much longer than usual. No fault of the seller.

    GOOD STORY LINE

This well-done series entertains and keeps the viewer in suspense. There is some wokeness but not enough to ruin the main story. The focus on micro-expressions seems plausible to a layman. I have known people who were good at judging character such as my dad. Some people know just how to spot a liar through life experiences so that gives the character "Torres" credibility. The ongoing dynamic of the "natural" verses the "scientific" is a fun dynamic. However, there is a lot of criticism of this "science" in quite a few episodes. I think all science needs this healthy skepticism in a day when so much so-called science is a far cry from what often passes for objectivity but is really pretense. I purchased Seasons 1 and 2 for my wife's birthday. The DVDs are good quality although a ...

    Good series, issues with discs

The actual series is very good. All discs for the first season played perfectly. The second season so far has had issues with the first two discs with stoppage and locking up. Hoping the balance operate ok.

  • Lie to Me

I've watched the series myself previously and decided it was something I had to get for my father. This series is intense, suspenseful and addicting, and it is all based on the power of the mind. This show is not a documentary of any sense, but just meant to keep you guessing and never fails to surprise you. I especially loved how the characters are so unique and well developed; Eli Loker, for example always speaks whatever he really feels to avoid lying at any moment, and those sly comments can be hilarious. Emily Lightman is just as intelligent as her father and still lies and tries to get away with things knowing his profession. However, of all the characters Dr. Cal Lightman is the most impressive due to his addictive personality. I can't help but compare him to House at some ...

  • Lie To Me is the best in TV entertainment! Would I lie to you?!

I bought the DVD after stumblinc across the series on Net Flix. The concept of the series is a group of consultants expert in facial and body language, help various agencies, private and public "solve" questions of guilt or innosence. The lead actor, Tim Roth is "quirky," arrogant (in his expertise) and a problem solver: all traits I admire and so enjoy watching unfold in a story line. I definately give the show 5 stars and recommend it highly to viewers who like to learn while they are entertained (did I forget to mention that some of the shows content actually teaches you about the study of human expression(s), body and face and what they mean?).

  • Lie To Me ~ Worth a Watch

Being a Tim Roth fan, I needed no prodding to dive into this tv series and I was pleasantly surprised at the unique twist they put on a law/cop/consultant type show. The casting is good, Roth is excellent and I was (very) pleased that he didn't have to go with an American accent. He plays a single dad with an only daughter (who adds to the show yet doesn't distract). Jennifer Beals plays Roth's ex-wife and she makes a few cameo appearances (making you wonder why she disappeared from the screen for so long). Roth runs a company that study facial expressions and body language to help everyone from companies looking to question employees honesty, to govt agencies looking for terrorists. It's a good mix of serious intellect and action with a decent amount of humor thrown in to break the ...
