    Really good anthology series....

    I am a huge horror anthology movie and TV show fan. I had never heard of "Tales" before, probably because it wasn't as popular in America as England and because the first few years were filmed before I was born :) I really didn't know what to expect....However, I was very impressed with Roald Dahl and his stories. I found myself looking forward to his intros. Most of the stories were well done, well acted (some a bit dated, but still relevant) I come from the Rod Serling school of twists and turns and Dahl is another master of messing with your head and making you think. So far so good, I'm looking forward to the next volume!

    Already had 3 other volumes so this completed my set. Typical british suspense. Annoyin music between episodes. Enjoyed the stories.

    Sums it up well.

    These are amazing stories, brilliantly enacted. Dahl's talent is on a level with Alfred Hitchcock's, presenting us with twists that surprise and astonish. There are few writers who come up with such consistently surprising story twists. Every minute spent watching this series of stories is golden.

    The real thing!

    This is the original series that we first saw on TV in the early eighties. Each episode is a short story, packed with mystery, and to paraphrase the author Roald Dahl, will keep us holding our breath for the very beginning until the end. Unexpected indeed!

    payback is what it is all about

    although set in the 70's & from england, any fan of roald dahl will not be disappointed, his slick way of telling a story, butt giving it that twist at the end makes this a classic, the stories will hold up forever & that's whaat it is all about
