    Some good moments in this latest Jim Carrey release

    Jim Carrey (LIAR LIAR, THE NUMBER 23 and many more) stars in this comedy about a man who attends a seminar on how to improve the quality of your life by always saying yes, never no. Other actors in the movie include Zooey Deschanel (Bridge to Terabithia & The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and more), Veteran actor Terence Stamp (Wanted, Red Planet and many more). Stamp stars as the 'Yes Man" the man with the plan who makes Carrey commit to saying Yes. Along the way Carrey meets Deschanel who is a free spirited musician. The movie has a good premise and the acting is good. Their are some very funny parts to this movie but most of the movie is about average as far as comedies go. I rate this movie a 4 of 5 for good acting and a number of good laughs. If ...

    Glad To See Another Winner For A Long Time Pro!

    Several movies lately just seem to strike a cord for me, and this one has to be one of those that I can totally relate to. Saying the word "YES" to everything seems to insinuate within the film that, if you just continue saying Yes to every question, you will be more happy and successful. The proof seems to be that Carl (Jim Carrey), after a split with his wife, becomes withdrawn and wants to avoid any situation in his life. This is very typical behavior for people who tend to be totally devastated in life after many unpleasant occurrences leave him squirming in social situations. Carl is soon invited by an aquaintance to attend a self-help seminar intended to change people who say No to life into people that say Yes. After seeing the results of saying Yes firsthand, ...

    Jim Carry,Hilarious

    Love Jim Carrey movies.This is one of his best.A really great,heart warming,feel good, funny comedy.Carry plays "Carl Allen",a man afraid to take chances or even give life a chance.After going to a "yes" seminar,the fun begins.Carry is fabulous.He is just a comic genius.Zooey Deschanel (what a name)is great as "Allison",a woman Carl happens to meet and fall in love with.Very attractive woman.If you like Jim Carrey,see this movie.Not one of his zany off-the-wall comedys,but again one of his best.

    An excellent reminder!

    Although the movie made fun of the "yes!" attitude and lifestyle, I found it very good lesson and reminder to stay open to life and opportunities. In our society cynicism is rampant. To me to be cynical is akin to drinking poison; it does horrible things to you on so many levels. To be negative, aka "No", means there is something amiss with my understanding, usually about myself. In other words, to be negative about something means I am being negative about me. This movie illustrates turning the negative to positive in a very entertaining way. I would give this movie to anyone who is habitually negative. Thank you for making it!

    yes man dissapoints

    I watched this movie. I thought it was a mediocre movie nothing special about it. Yes man is very similar to Jim Carey's previous movie Liar Liar.(U get to see the aged Jim). Story about a lazy person who learns the power of the word yes, it'll bring him opportunities, job promotion & find love of his life. For example, as a loan officer he starts approving every loan request, which will get him a promotion. Jim is a great actor but his previous lines of movies have all been disasters. This one is not as good as Ace ventura sequals but it will give you laughs.
