In May 2009, three fresh-faced teenagers, Piero Barone (17), Ignazio Boschetto (16), and Gianluca Ginoble (16), appeared on the popular Italian talent show TI LASCIO UNA CANZONE and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard "O Sole Mio." the boys, who won the competition easily, decided their group needed a name. "Il Volo," meaning "flight," was chosen to signify the feeling that these three young tenors were about to spread their wings and fly. IL VOLO was recorded in Los Angeles and Rome, as well as at London's famed Abbey Road Studios with renowned singer/producer Tony Renis and veteran producer Humberto Gatica (Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, and Celine Dion). The album is a stellar showcase for these three young singers' astonishing vocal talent and interpretive gifts as they take on a range of both new and traditional, classically influenced pop songs.

    IL VOLVO fame is rocketing around the world as their talent becomes known!

    IL VOLVO is an outstanding Italian group of three young men who sing operatic music equal to world renoun famous opera singers twice their ages. The IL VOLVO young men are 16, 17 and 18. They became famous in Italy within two years of becoming a trio. Their fame is rocketing around the world at this time. They came to America for the first time recently and put on a premiere at Detroit for a huge audience. In their performance, they were able to bring the audience and IL VOLVO together as one. This is an awesome achievement! This particular CD is one of the earlier CDs done by IL VOLVO. It is well worth owning to start a collection of their music. I look forward to watching IL VOLVO continue to grow in world renoun fame over the years.

    Breathtaking, phenomenal, brilliantly outstanding vocals & music!!!

    I first heard about these young men via an email, then I viewed a YouTube clip and absolutely fell in love with their voices. I am astounded by the quality, maturity, range and overall stage presence of these guys! To think that at the time of recording they were ages 16, 16, and 17! If they are star-quality now, I can't wait to see and hear them in the coming years. I encourage you to indulge your senses and earnestly recommend you purchase this and future CDs. I've listened to mine at least 10 times in the 3 days I've had it. Buy it...you won't be disappointed and your ears will thank you!!! Also check out their various interviews and clips on YouTube.

    Talent beyond their years,beautiful CD

    Saw these young men on a mourning show...when they began to sing I was floored. I could not believe what I was hearing. They are teenagers from Italy, 16,17 and 18 years old . They are blessed and compliment each other wonderfully. I was sold and purchased a CD on ebay. One CD is in Italian with three songs in English. I think there is one in Spanish too. I have played this CD for two of my friends and they were in awe of their voices. So if you like what they call pop opera you should enjoy this. Thumbs up from me.
