    The songs will take you back....you'll remember an old flame or two, and smile.

    The songs actually have lyrics that you will remember. Romantic music was different back then...it was actually worth listening to the words....back when we wore ties and button-downed shirts on dates...and not T-shirts... and composers had a vocabulary. Great smooth delivery by Rod Stewart. Get a couple and send the extras to an old flames.

    Rod Stewart-Great Amer.Songbook Volume IV

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CD!! Rod Stewart has 5 Great American Songbook titles and even though I've bought each one, around the holidays I recvd more than 1 copy of Volume V but skipped over Volume IV completely. When I realized this, I was SO HAPPY to find it on Ebay! If you like his other "Songbook" CD's, you'll love this! Once again, he sings some great classics and also does a few duets like "I Wish You Love" with Chris Botti, "Makin' Whoopee" with Elton John, "You Send Me" with Chaka Khan, "I've Got A Crush On You" with Diana Ross, and "Let's Fall In Love" with George Benson. Like the others in this collection, you just never get tired of listening to it!

    Golden Oldies

    If you love the golden oldies, you will fall in love with all four cd’s of The Great American Songbook...plus the 5th cd which has the best of the four volumes. I love all five. cds. They are fabulous! I listen to them every night. Very romantic. Rod Stewart is wonderful.

    Some of Rod's Best

    You would not think that Rod's gravelly-threat rocker voice would lend itself well to forties tunes, but he makes the songs come alive. All CD's from THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK are beyond fabulous!

    MUST-HAVE for all!!

    I can't say enough good things about this CD! This CD is his best one yet. It has the most easy going, feel good beat in the world. It's perfect to listen to everyday, you don't get sick of it, it's not repetitive... I just love all his recent CDs. I would highly recommend this CD to everyone!
