As originally broadcast on NBC, the series TRAUMA debuted in the fall of 2009. Promoted as one of the first medical dramas set exclusively in the sphere where the action takes place - i.e, the world of first-responder paramedics - the program stars Derek Luke and Cliff Curtis as two EMTs affiliated with San Francisco City Hospital. Willing to do whatever it takes to get to an emergency on time - anything from hopping on a boat to being dropped in via plane - the paramedics must battle extreme conditions and regularly put their own safety on the line. This box set from NBC Universal presents all eighteen Season 1 Episodes, which ran between September 2009 and April 2010. As an added bonus, the set also offers commentary on the pilot episode from the program's executive producers, plus deleted scenes.

So happy to have found it.
I wanted to check this out because I have been a fan of one of the actors on this show for a while now from another show they are currently on. But had been unable to find it anywhere. Until one day my brain was like check eBay. I am so happy that I did and was able to find it. It arrived a few days earlier than it was expected so that was an added bonus. It gave me a couple of days to check out a few episodes when I was off work for the weekend. Seeing that it was set in San Francisco and actually filmed in and around the San Francisco area makes it even better. As I watch each episode I am on the look out for things that I might recognize from when I was able to visit the city many years ago. Not to mention shows that are actually filmed in the city they are set it is something ... Maybe that is why I have gotten so into Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD because they are all filmed in Chicago. It is because of Chicago Fire that got me wanting to check out this show because that is the show that has the actor in common with this show. That said if you are unsure about buying this from another seller do it because you will be happy you did.

If You Like E.R. Look Out Trauma's Taking Over.
I loved this short lived series from 09, it's too bad it didn't get a 2nd season. I love all those medical dramas, this is T.V. so do not compare it to real like E.M.S. workers. The only thing bad about it is some of the emergency techniques they provided were done the wrong way. This is otherwise a great show for those who work in the EMS field or anyone who truly enjoys this type of T.V..

This DVD features a great cast, great plot, and pays close attention to real-life situations! The blending of the Paramedics on the Street, to the Air Lift Crew, to the Hospital Staff, makes Trauma more realistic, and shows the great union of Emergency Providers,-just like real-life! Trauma is definitely a Five out of Five Stars! It is too bad that this show was cancelled after only one season,- and not really given a chance! Another great TV series suffers Trauma
I have loved this series from the day I saw the second episode , I had missed the plot/series opener . It had all the qualities of good drama : characters you could sympathize with , characters that devolved and grew , a storyline for adults not twentysomethings , all and all the things that will make a show fail but be remembered as a treat and a delight . It is a shame that NBC could not see itself clear to re-new the show beyond the first 13 episodes .
