  • An Affordable Essential

Because I'm not yet eligible for an upgrade on my Verizon Phone, but wanted to get rid of my DARE, I opted to go for the affordable Curve while waiting for my upgrade. While my DARE had all the bells and whistles, it made checking the email for my small business a pain, and it seemed to be made more for those who want to go nuts with apps, etc. On the other hand, my Curve makes doing business easy, especially since I work in a secure office where I cannot check my external emails while at my day job. I've found that responding to clients with virtual immediacy has made the curve totally worth it - and the enhanced response time has definitely helped me garner a few more clients. For fun, the Curve also has the free app for "Pandora Radio", which is awesome - it makes the unlimited data ...

  • Nice compact phone with lots of capabilities

I drifted away from an internet and email Blackberry phone a few years ago. I recently had a need to have constant access to mt business email and having the web browser is a bonus. I'm on Verizon so I'm limited to their compatible phones. I looked at the Droid and like its features but began to hear some downsides to it such as very short battery life. Then the announcement of the Spring release to Verizon for the Nexus One. I can't wait for it so I bought a used Blackberry 8330 on Ebay after reading a lot of reviews. I like the Curve 8330. Having access to emails is so convenient and set up was easy. The apps don't appear to be as fast or easy to use as the iPhones both of my sons own but I didn't expect it to be. The only annoyance is the very small numbers on the pad for dialing. ...

  • Blackberry Curve 8330

Very good phone for what I need. Easy setup for checking email on multiple accounts. QWERTY Keyboard is very easy to use. I prefer this type of keyboard over the touch screen types, and I find it easier to use than other phones that I have had in the past. Battery life seems to be very good. I don't surf the web a lot with this phone, but even still in comparison to other smart-phones, this battery seems to hold a charge very well. I like the fact that I can choose to setup the Blackberry Messenger with other Blackberry users. It gives you many options that are not available in the "normal" SMS texting modes. For instance, you are not limited by message length and there are a ton of symbols available. Overall, I think this is one of the better phones for the price.

  • Blackberry Curve 8330

This is the phone I should have gotten a year ago instead of the LG enV Touch. More versatile with apps available for most online activities instead of just using a mobile web portal. The phone is a bit wider to accommodate the QWERTY keyboard - the keyboard is small, but no more difficult to work with than an iPhone/iPod Touch in portrait mode. Received this used unit with a sturdy Body Glove case. The case makes the hefty feel of the phone seem even more solid, although it does make some of the keys on the edges a little more difficult to push. But only a little. Have had a few issues with the phone locking up during some usage - mainly 3rd party apps that probably have a coding problem (but I'm no programmer). Have only had to remove the battery to "reset" once though - usually ...

  • Compact, nice for calls, keyboard easy to use, screen too small 4 net

Compact, nice for calls, keyboard easy to use but screen is too small for the internet. I bought this phone because my Droid drowned in my cupholder. I used to have a Blackberry and liked it so I bought this one to tide me over till my contract runs out and I can get a larger screen Droid type phone that is more user friendly. Blackberries are easy to use for the most part but when you are trying to change something it is difficult to go through all the instructions. Things never seem to be where U expect them to be. ARG! Even the address books are hard to find or change. The screen is tiny so get out your reading glasses LOL. Recommend for calls and texting but not for the internet.
