Product Information

The world's most famous hedgehog returns to the PSP in Sonic Rivals 2. Like its predecessor, Sonic Rivals 2 features 2D side-scrolling platform action set within 3D worlds. The story involves the Chao disappearing at an alarming rate, and it's up to the rivals to solve the mystery. A new emphasis has been placed on the Battle mode, which gives players six ways to take on their friends with only one game disc. Each of the eight playable characters have upgraded signature moves, including new entries Miles "Tails" Prower, Espio the Chameleon, and Rouge the Bat. Solo gamers can head through each of the 12 levels, and two players can use the PSP Ad-hoc wireless connection to participate in modes like Knockout, Ring Battle, Capture the Chao, and Tag. Gamers can collect up to 150 trading cards and use them to upgrade their characters or bet on Battle mode matches.

    One of the better Sonic games in recent years

    If you have played Sonic Rivals on PSP then in essence you have played Sonic Rivals 2. The game overall is more of the same with some improvements and some new problems. The first thing you will notice is the game is harder then the first. Not much but its more of a challenge and you will lose a few times. This isn't helped by the change to the attack system. In the first title signature moves were pretty well balanced. An attack would hit your oppenent no matter where they were. In the sequel, some attacks have a range and others don't. This really makes it tough to catch up when your far behind. Making some characters moves (like Espio and Tails) worthless. But the game does some things very well, the game has lots to do and find without being frustrating. Over 150 cards and character ...

    sonic rivals 2

    I decided to buy this game because it reminded me of the old school 2d sidescrollers. Its a very nice looking game and its very fast paced and has cool levels. I think most will find this game a lot of fun. Maybe its because of my patience, but I had a hard time with some of the levels because of the controls. Even though you can play the levels without racing, to beat the story mode you have to com in first place. It became VERY frustrating for me because if you get stuck somewhere you pretty much have to start over because you will lose. So if you like a challenge even though maybe sometimes cheap, then you'll be ok. Other than that I think its a great looking game and fun to play.

    Sonic Rivals 2 PSP

    Sonic is my 8 year old's favorite game. He was so excited when he opened his present Christmas morning. If you like excitement, adventure, and a lot of fun, then you'll love Sonic Rivals 2! Trust me...my son is an expert! :)

    Fun Play

    great game for Sonic fans! My 11 year old loves it. Good graphics, exciting adventure, great charachters. He enjoyed the many different levels of play. Fun for all!
