Still making my way through testing the VHS but so far so good ๐Ÿ˜Š they arrived quickly and at a great price. Some were a little more worn than expected but not bad at all for 25 year old VHS tapes. Seller did a great job photographing and describing the items in the description. Overall great experience! Thank you ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿผ

    Time Travel to your Childhood

Castlevania has so much to offer. Yes, it is only 64 bits but man is this game still challenging, and fun. Retro gaming offers great storylines, riddles, puzzles, and the fun frustration of getting stuck on a level with little or no cheat codes to escape. Exercise your mind with Castlevania 64.

  • Almost A Great Castlevania Title.

This is basically a 3D Castlevania game based on the past 2D franchise releases from the past. It's too bad that the newer Nintendo DS releases don't borrow from this great "Castlevania 64" title. I find the game a bit difficult and the camera movement and angles weren't done very precisely, which makes it a bit hard to get around and reach certain points and destinations. If it wasn't for the camera movements, I'd rate this as an excellent all-time great "Castlevania" title. The newer "Castlevania" titles need to reach this level for the franchise.

  • vampire classic

Castlevania lets you take the role of either Reinhardt Schneider, the latest whip-toting member of the Belmont clan (don't ask us why he's got a different last name), or Carrie Fernandez, a young girl with magical powers and a grudge. Both characters have their own separate (though similar) storylines, complete with entirely different endings and a couple of stages that are exclusive to each other's quests. Interestingly enough (to hard-core Castlevania fans, anyway), Carrie is a descendant of Sypha Belnades, the 15th century mage from Castlevania III. Unfortunately, Konami didn't bother to keep Carrie's and Sypha's last names consistent in the translation, thus ruining an otherwise interesting plot point of the game. (gamespot)

  • Dated gameplay and a lot of flaws due to time constrains. A game to experience for historical purposes.

This game has flaws all over the place, but it's the first attempt to move the series over to 3D and it's fascinating just for that. Other than the technical issues of the time, I feel like the developers did their best with the time they were given. They tried to make it more cinematic and I think it shows. The gameplay might not be as good as a Castlevania as the 2D counterparts up to that point, but it's a great try at moving the series to another dimension, it shows how hard it was to use full 3D environments for games back in the days.
