Anne Rice, writing as Anne Rampling, employs the same libinous imagination in "Exit to Eden" that she presents to readers in the spellbinding sensuality of The Vampire Chronicles and the more sexually taboo "Belinda." "Exit to Eden" is a wickedly erotic, graphic, literary portrait of the S&M scene. The main characters, Lisa and Elliot, embark on a sexual journey, testing the limits of pleasure, pain, and sexual darkness at "The Club," an exclusive island resort where forbidden fantasy meets willing flesh. Rice explores the relationship between slave and master- the different paths they follow- by allowing both main characters to narrate their respective chapters, giving insight into not just the different roles played, but also the psychology behind each character's actions. "Exit ... Exit to Eden
This book was a real page turner. I just couldn't put it down until i found out what happens to my star crossed lovers. Once again, Anne Rice' descriptive writing style had my imagination running wild. This erotic story has just the right amount of mystery, sex, and drama. I loved it! It is by far my favorite Anne Rice book.
