I see why this cookbook won prizes!

This cookbook is so fun that I sit and read it for entertainment. Then when I just cannot stand it any more I bake something really exceptional. Everyone who loves to bake or loves to eat, needs this cookbook. Try the cake pan cakes for an easy start and go from there.

  • I LOVE THIS BOOK, MOST VALUABLE BOOK

Just browsing through this book, it has a wealth of very very old recipes. And it won an argument for me too. They used Dark Real Maple Syrup in the north to make pecan pie and in the south they used fresh pumpkin. I had a 2yr old argument with my mother re corn syrup (a capitalist invention from the 30s) was NOT the original recipe for pecan pie. Just like we all know that wonder bread company invented toxic white flour in the 30s and that is when pop-up toasters became popular. I LOVE THIS BOOK. I cannot see anyone dumb enough to get rid of this unless they died. I know I will keep it till then and pass it on to my great-grand-children at my death. I LOVE THIS BOOK. I recommend to anyone lucky enough to find an original copy.

  • The only Baking Cookbook I'll ever need

This is the best cookbook I've ever owned, and I feel that with this one, I don't really need any other baking cookbook. It's got formulas so you can create your own muffins, quiches, etc. and it has a lot of great information about the history of baking, and how certain baked goods originated.

  • It's time to bake again!

I had this cookbook years ago and loved it! Every recipe in it was delicious! After a total and disastrous fire five years ago, I lost every cookbook and others -- about three thousand total. Replacing now only the favored ones and this is one! Buy it!

  • Great price for a wonderful book.

I own one of these and use it all the time. I bought this for a friend who likes to bake and she went ape over it. Greta recipes that always turn out delicious with interesting intros and background information. A must-have for any serious baker and cook!
