This amplifier has some hard to come by features
I purchased this amplifier for a 5.1 car system for the center channel. I have an Alpine 4/3/2 channel amplifier and this one is the only one I could find that has a variable crossover frequency that can also be turned off for full range/flat use. Because of that, I chose this model, and it will work well for this application. This amplifier is a 1/2 channel amp.

Solid little amp, getting hard to find...
I bought one of these for my front speakers in 2005. I just bought another for a backup, since they are out of production and getting harder to find. I had replaced the factory speakers with Alpine separates (mids & tweets). I didn't take into affect that most "high-end" aftermarket speakers have low sensitivity. So, without an amp, they often will sound dull and have less volume than the factory drivers they replace. Once this amp fed the Alpine separates the wattage they needed, the sound really came alive, and I could hear details in songs I never even knew were there before. The amp has never let me down and has several adjustments for crossover frequency, etc. Plus the small size and high output are also a plus. Has more power then anticipated.
Installed this amp in the trunk of a 07 Kia spectra. Pushes one 10" Sony single vc sub in ported box just fine. Have all settings on amp at mid and amp doesn't clip. Deffinently not the amp to bang down the block but does the job well. Originally bought Amp to power some 6.5 mids. My thinking is is a little too powerfully for mids and in the low end of power for a sub. I would go a little bit higher rms if I would do it over. BUT the price was right and if your limited on space this will push your sub decently. Love these older amps.Installed this amp in the trunk of a 07 Kia spectra.
