Why I like the Vtech IP5825 5.8 GHz cordless twin phone
I like this phone. I spend alot of time in the garage. It is 100 feet from the house. I set one phone with the charger there, the base in the house. With this phone you can continue to work because it has speaker phone. If I need my wifes help with a project, I can press " int " short for intercom and and we can talk between the handsets without dialing a bunch of numbers, like I had to do with the last phone. It holds a bunch of numbers in the log and has caller ID so I can see who is calling me. About the only things I dislike about it is that it eats batteries and I have to stand up front in the shop to talk, because it will fade out if I go deep into the other side of the shop. When I recieved it used from the seller the batteries were dead. batteries are about 15.00 each in the stores ... I like this phone. I spend alot of time in the garage. It is 100 feet from the house. The phone (s) have the functions I was looking for; Caller ID/Call Waiting ID, voice mail alert, etc. The menu is basic and easy to follow. The ringtones are limited to only a few and it does not have a speaker phone option that would allow for hands free operation. Overall solid phone, works great and fully charged in around 12 hours. I won the V-Tech phone with two cordless phones. They buttons to dial are rather slow, but the sound of the caller is clear. It has a directory that stores 15 numbers that is helpful. You can set it so certain callers have a distinctive ring. I have the main one upstairs in my bedroom and the other in the dining room and both work well. Excellent phone
I have had this phone for several years and why do I like it? Simplicity. What I store in one phone transmits to the other...no doing it twice. It has a message light indicator which I really love. Beats the crap out of picking up your phone all the time to see if there are messages. We do not have answering machine because we get too many calls, but we do have voice messaging thru our phone provider and this has never failed us. the light is a nice sized bright amber. Good phone
Happy with this phone, it works, what more could you ask for. The only problem I am finding is that the voice mail indicator light doesn't flash like it should. Other then that, it works fine, and clear.
