    With the exception of the noise it works as well as brand new Linksys units

    Bought this because I needed a low cost but reliable gigabit capable switch for my home network for multiple PC's NAS and Internet aware appliances. The Unit performs the function for which I bought it well and that is a plus at the price. The only issue I have with the unit is a louder than desireable fan noise. It is as capable as any of the other units (gig switches) I have on the network and very reliable.

    Yee-Haw

    If you want a Yee-Haw no frills switch, then buy this. If you want a switch that does MPLS, vlan tagging, daily scheduling, plane de-icing, transmission shifting, electricity interruption, then this "SWITCH" won't work for you... Happy packet forwarding!

    Great for a home network cabinet!

    Great solution for a home network. The key holes on the back make it perfect for wall mounting. The lights on the front make it easy to see when devices are communicating.
