  • Trapped on a Ski Lift

FROZEN has a promising premise: three people are trapped on a chairlift after a ski resort closes. Since the resort is open only on weekends, no one will find them for a week. The problem with the situation --- and the movie --- is that there are only two possible choices: stay on the lift and freeze to death, or jump down and get eaten by wolves. Given these limited options, the movie was dull where it should have been suspenseful: too much debating what to do, then a quick bloody death after the decision was finally made. Since the ski resort was close to a major highway, it seemed strange (though not impossible) that a wolf pack prowled the trails after dark. However, it really strained credulity that the man-eating wolves hung around and attacked in daylight, too. Ultimately, the ...

  • Liked it, but not as much as I hoped.

I was looking forward to seeing this film for a while now and I finally purchased it as it seemed like such a cool concept, having friends stranded on a ski lift with no one in sight. I have to say the first 45 minutes were great, I really enjoyed some of the intense moments and knew it would turn out awesome. However, after that it seemed a bit boring and definitely predictable, the ending was dull and I felt like something was missing. Overall, I would watch it again sometime. Loved the actors chosen for this movie. Rent it first if you're skeptical, or find a cheap one on eBay like I did.

  • Frozen, a movie way to cool, it could happen for real

A movie listed in the horror section but never claims to be a horror movie a suspense thriller is more the genre, three friends bribe a ski lift attendent to let them take one last run down the ski slope. Halfway up the mountain another attendent stops the lift not knowing their still onboard, the lights go out, and the resort shuts down for the week. Fifty feet in the air a snow storm approaching and frostbite setting in and on the ground a pack of hungry wolves, can it get worse? I can see why they call this movie hitchcock with teeth definitely a chiller pardon the pun, I was glued to this film from start to finish, a really intense and unique approach to the concept of slowly freezing in the wild with no hope in site! If I ever go skiing and decide to take a ski lift I would wear an ...

  • Had to have it for my DVD library, good movie.

Good movie, excellent acting. Some parts slow, but need the build up. Some parts you'll be yelling at the TV. Watched with my 17 year old daughter, who, after reading the story on the back of the dvd, said it sounds like a stupid movie. She liked it! I said, "told ya!". Alot of swearing but sometimes it's necessary. (Ever seen Scarface on reg. tv? Don't bother cuz it's spliced to ribbons! Ruins it.) If you like on the edge of your seat nail biting movies, this is one of them.
