Invaluable to taking insulated wire to bare and bright, #1, #2 copper
I have run 200 pounds of copper wire through my stripper. Various sized from electric cords to 1/2 feed lines to bussiness this machine when set correctly makes fast work of recovering copper wire.

Quality machine
I purchased this machine to use in my recycling center. I am impressed by the quality and durability of this unit! It took two and a half tons of heavy gauge vinyl jacketed THHN wire with no problems. It will handle wire larger than the included guides.I would recommend this unit to ANYONE. It does the job and does it well.

If this one ever finally breaks I will buy another one just like it.
When you get yours be sure to devise a easy shield on the left side of the motor. One out of 10 wires will feed over toward the motor and get caught in the rear vent opening and make a bad sound, Do not let this discourage you at all though, I made a quick shield out of a pc of cardboard after I saw the problem would keep occurring. As far as I can tell I cant imagine buying a better machine and cant see how any of the others could be as good as this one. This machine feed it through as fast as I can keep going with it. Just get your wire ready - made sort of straight. cut to 2 or 3 ft length is best put in a pile (on a work table) not to have to mess with it while you are running.... close to same sizes is best but (you can adjust it as you need while running the wire though) At that ... If you need to split wire this will do just fine.
Works really good overall. Smaller gauge wire is difficult to run through. Small guage wire will wander in the groove and the splitting knife won't cut. I added a piece to the small guide hole to help keep the wire straight in the groove for the knife to cut. Big wire this thing is really good.
