    Another great BOSS product!

Awesome bass overdrive, keeps your lows but adds a nice growl. Not bad for guitar, either. Built like a tank (like all BOSS compact pedals) and is a beautiful yellow (sure it doesn't affect the tone, but it's also nice to look at 🤣👍).

Good sound but loud whine when your not playing

It sounds really good except for that it has a loud whine to it when you stop playing as it’s the first one of those pedals that I’ve ever used I have no idea if that’s normal or not it seems to be better some times than others the company that shipped it was great though got here quick and stuff happy with them

  • Great all-around overdrive!

Great Pedal!!! It seems to work on everything. I have used it on bass, guitar, and keyboards and this pedal rocks on all of them. Great low end drive. Using on guitar gives a huge sound - can be molded into big sludgy Melvins-style guitar, or tight mid-driven rocking guitar. I like the mix knob, gives user ability to blend the drive and clean signal. This pedal is great and has a good sounding overdrive across a wide frequency range. Beefy and smooth, I dig it!

  • BEST BASS DISTORTION EVER.

This pedal is amazing!!! The controls really allow you to pull a wide variety of tones out of this one small pedal. I have personally been able to dial up a Cliff Burton-esque shrieking treble-y distortion, a semi-clean biting thrash sound (ala Dave Ellefson), a deeper low-end distortion, and a smooth overdrive. I would recommend this pedal to any bass player who wants to add some distortion to their playing. The clean/dry control lets you balance how much of the clean sinal will bleed through the distortion. You can even use it as a simple volume booster by setting the pedal to compleely clean. You'll have to play with it for a while (meaning about a half hour) to find a tone you like, but the more the experiment with it the more you'll love it and the sounds it produces. ...

  • Can be used as a clean boost, good range of overdrive tones

The ODB-3 gives that nice bold sound that a Big Muff gives you, but with an EQ tailored for bass. The low boost knob definitely gives the bass more boom and presence, and can even be used for a bit of a clean boost. I took mine apart out of curiousity, and it uses red LEDs for overdrive. Look this up, this is often done as a mod to allow for more overhead, which allows you to dial in a slight crunch, or heavy, fuzzy bass tones.
