    Some Re-Masters are Not Better

    I grew up on this "Album" & have the Whipped Cream "original" on CD. The remaster killed the base & accentuated the percussion, but, the percussion you now hear are not just drums, but also minor percussion instruments like a piece of wood hitting another. Herb's Trumpet is not the centerpiece as it should be. It is now more of the background noise. DO NOT BUY if you loved the ORIGINAL

    Revamped with Taste (Of Honey)

    The Whipped Cream & Other Delights monster vinyl success from the 60´s by one of the top instrumental bands ever, which was recently reissued on a beautifully remastered CD ,is now ReWhipped with current lounge and chill out sounds with extreme care and good taste. The old staples gained an extra spark with revamped rhythms conceived by some of the premier remix figures of the day and added solos by Herb Alpert himself,about forty years later and playing his trumpet better than ever at 71. Don´t let this one pass by, the CD is a must for those who lived that era or even new listeners seeking for instrumental quality music regardless of style.

    Creamy Delight!

    Growing up, I would listen to the things my parents listened to: among them was Herb Alpert's Whipped Cream. At first (thinking as a kid) I always wondered why they wasted so much good whipped cream as I sat there enjoying the Latin brass sounds. Many an afternoon was filled with those happy notes and I was ecstatic to see them remastered, remixed, and re-whipped. In truth, I enjoy these remixes even more than the originals now. Guess I'll have to buy another copy to give to my Dad ('cause he ain't getting mine!) If you like some good Latin jazz then you're gonna love this!

    Retro with a touch of modern tempo.

    Being a Herb Alpert fan like myself will surely appeal to an alternative version of the original of this album. I would suggest being aquainted with the original version prior to listening to this re-whipped album. Having both gives such a sense of being retro & fresh modern experience. This album is officially approved by Herb Alpert.
