    Ryobi Cordless Edger is the way to go!!

    I have a medium sized corner yard, about .75 acre and this product gets the job done. It is a lot of edging to get done but this trimmer works well. Runtime is about 45mins, easy and replace to use feeder line. It uses the same battery as the Ryobi drills.

    Excellent value but a tad bit heavy.

    This Ryobi model is an excellent alternative to Cord powered string trimmer/weed eater, however, it's only draw back is the weight due to the weight of the battery. And since it's not a "Commercial" where you'd be using it most of the day with a harness across the shoulders, all things considered, you either fight with a cord or manage the weight; it's worthy of the price.

    Was pretty sceptical at first.

    With a 6 amp hour battery and set on the high power mode this thing will do pretty well on weeds and I'm not talking light weeds I'm talking 4ft tall way over grown weeds was pretty interesting my by another just to have a back up.

    A good buy to me.

    Power was good enough to cut 3 ft tall mallow plants that were about 1/2" thick on 2nd speed. No hassel with pull-starting. Didn't drain battery fast.
