About this product

Product Information

Mario Party Advance is the first of the popular Mario Party installment to be released for handheld devices. It focuses heavily on the single player mode, though friends always have the option of joining the adventure through use of a link cable or by sharing a single Game Boy Advance. As with other Mario Party games, players must make their way across a party board, beating quests and collecting minigames that can be played outside of the main mode. Popular Mario characters return as playable characters, including Yoshi, Princess Peach, and Mario himself, drawing Nintendo fans into the challenging fun.

    Great Single Player Mini Game(s)

This entry probably veers the furthest from the Mario Party franchise of any in the series. It is a fun collection of mini games. The primary player in the house is our 7 year old who loves the Mario Party franchise. This game is not as intuitive for her but with a little time and assistance she has grasped the game play. The graphics and sound are very good considering the era and the platform. I would recommend this for anyone looking for good quality games for the GBA.

  • Mario Party Advance: The good, the bad, and the ugly

When I first bought this game I thought it would be much worse and thank god it wasn't. The board game is a little child like and somethimes funny. The bad news is that you can't play like a normal mario party thing were you role the dice trying to get the star. What I hate most about the board game is that you can only role 3 dice and you get another 2 if you win a mini-game. Then there are the mini-games... Well gladly it is much more fun than the board game will ever be. The mini-games are worth playing and some are difficult while other are way to easy. There are however bad mini-games or "gadgets" as the game would call them. These "gadgets" have no playing value what-so-ever. Of course some games are really fun while are just... well...sucks! There is no point to play other ...

  • Underrated Mario Game for a Fair Price

This is an underrated first party game for the GBA with an interesting story mode that often gets unduly overlooked and criticised online. It's not your typical Mario Party game, but its minigames are fun and its story mode offers much lore, as well as unique characters and dialog. Its price is fairly low and is worth a shot for Mario and Nintendo fans wanting to try something different that still has a Mario feel.

  • MARIO party review

When I first ordered the game, it wasn't working. I had contacted the person who shipped the game telling him that it wouldn't start up. He sent me a new game and works great. I'm giving it 5 stars even though the first game didn't start because 1.) he was kind enough to send me another one with no charge and 2.) the game itself is awesome! Definitely recommend getting it if you're a MARIO party lover.

  • Good buy if complete, only way to play multi is with the included board.

I bought this product because i love the mario party series and i thought that this would be a cool addition to my collection, plus me and some buddies like to have a tournament with all of the mario parties. if you can find one that is Complete in Box than this is a great party game for multiple people. However, the only way you can play it with multiple people is with the Game Board. Fear not though! if you are simply looking for a fun solo trip, than this is it! it has a great and original way of playing a solo adventure, and will take quite a while to finish completely. This game WILL last for a while.
