I'm guessing the 'open box' description is a way for seller to get around mfr. policy on web discounting. Well, that works for me. As far as product, not sure color adds any real value particularly with some minor degradation of sharpness due to the lower resolution of the color layer. Has Overdrive integration but very limited search capability of library items. I search and borrow on my PC version of Libby app. Has buttons!

Salió muy bien de precio porque si la compraba con su valor original, los impuestos iban a elevar bastante. Amo que sea en negro y que tiene un tamaño muy adecuado para colocarlo en carteras o mochilas. Eso sí, procuro guardarla en un bultito afelpado para que no vaya a dañarse ni nada.

(I haven't used the Colorsoft, so I cannot compare that.) You can tell that the screen is not quite as high resolution, and I noticed the screen exhibits a kind of sandpaper-y, "rainbow" quality texture when I first began using it. But I can only notice that with an side-by-side comparison, and I don't even notice it now. Item was in good condition, and I got it openbox at a $30 discount
