I was able to repair the minor damage and was able to upgrade it. The seller refurbished the battery for me all of a sudden, and it shows the man is actually quite nice. The packaging was rudimentary but it did hold up in shipping. The shipping was a bit expensive and it was delayed by a day or two but overall, the value here is at utmost quality. I recommend the seller.

The intercom itself is not the best as you will see in other reviews but that is not the fault of the seller. It almost seems that they work best when plugged into circuits that are on the same side or power rail in the circuit breaker. It works well for what I'm wanting for, namely to allow my wife to get my attention in my basement workshop.
