        Great toy for kids and adults.

        My son loves his bb8. He wanted a remote control one for his birthday and this is simple enough for a 7 year old to use but still very entertaining for even myself to play with as a star wars fan.

        BB-8 Remote controlled. OK toy

        If it wasn't a Star Wars Collectible, paying the original retail of around $80.00 is just not worth it, it looks and feels cheap, its slow and doesn't really sound like BB-8, but if you can get it on eBay for considerably less than $80.00, go for it, the fact that you can turn the head separate from the body is good, unlike the App operated BB-8 where the whole body turns automatically when you turn the head, otherwise its a cool unique toy.

        Good concept, but not well enough engineered for the purpose

        Like many remote-controlled toys, the motors run too fast to be controllable. The toy jerks about so much that the head frequently comes off. If the motors had been geared slower, and the ball section made larger, this toy would have worked much better. The noises it makes don't sound at all like the sounds made by BB-8 in the Star Wars "teaser" video. I was hoping to use this in a Halloween high-tech display.

        Nice Remote Controlled Unit

        I was looking for an easy to control and something to have fun with. This BB-8 unit meets my needs. It is a basic and simple machine. It is not a real high-tech unit but operates and makes noises as describe in its literature.

        Disappointing

        Suppose to be new in an open box. Half of it was badly discolored and one of the antenna on top was slightly bent and lose from the heavy wrapping paper shoved in to hold it in the box. Doesn't work very well. On the hardwood and tile floors it just struggles to move. It does better on low pile carpet. Forget using on thick pile carpet. The sounds it makes are hard to hear and are not BB-8 sounds but mumbles. Wish I could have returned this. Was a gift for someone and embarrassing that it wasn't new when he opened it.
