    An updated 3D remake of a 2003 Game Boy Advance title, Pokémon: Alpha Sapphire sends players back to the Hoenn region to explore, battle, and learn the secrets of Mega Evolution. As always, gamers assume the role of a young battle trainer who goes on quests to catch and train Pokémon, then engage in turn-based battles with other trainers to upgrade and evolve their Pokémon. The new PokéNav Plus tool lets players explore Hoenn's unique locations, from its large central volcano to the surrounding satellite islands, get the latest local news, and track down elusive Pokémon in tall grass.<br><br>Gamers begin by choosing from three starter Pokémon, but they can rapidly acquire dozens more through trainer battles, random wilderness encounters, or trades with friends. Alpha Sapphire gives gamers access to the legendary Pokémon Latias, while its sister release Omega Ruby offers Latios, and both dragon-like creatures take advantage of the new Soar feature, which lets players navigate the skies above Hoenn, engage in airborne battles, and access mirage spots to track down rare Pokémon and valuable items. Gamers can once again build up their Pokémon's stats in the Super Training mode, increase their bond by using the stylus and touch screen to pet, scratch, and play with the creatures in the Pokémon-amie feature, and trade and battle with other local or online players using the Player Search System.

        Alpha Sapphire Makes a Splash...eh? Eh? ;)

        I'm really enjoying this remake of Sapphire. At first I wasn't sure how I would like the updated style and features they included, but I'm having a great time with it. It's refreshed and new, yet very faithful to the source material. Lot of fun, and would highly recommend it for anyone who enjoyed Gen 3 as much as I did.

        Brand new game, didn't work due to DS not being able to read cartridge, because that is the possibility now with DS games

        Despite being completely new (game still wrapped in original plastic wrap) My Nintendo 2ds can't read the cartridge. Neither can my brothers 3ds nor my friends 3ds. So I googled and found that especially Alpha sapphire and Omega ruby have these problems, but they are not the only pokemon ds games that do. My friends old Omega ruby worked just fine, so I just had bad luck and got a game that didn't work

        Great fun, but not worth the full price

        The game itself is great fun and ongoing. This is a mixture of a remake of the original Sapphire version with features from the X/Y games and only one major new feature (dexnav). To pay full price for a game that is the same story told in 3D form does not sit right with me. This version should have been at least twenty-five percent less. Also, the download version at the Nintendo E-shop should be HALF less, as there are no physical components to ship!! It's ridiculous.

        Another great Nintendo title

        Alpha sapphire was a great game and I had a really good time playing it even with it being a not a traditional old school style Pokémon. Great price, highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the Pokémon series.

        Really good.

        This is a top notch remake of an amazing game. I still prefer the original version from generation three, but this deserves to be played by any one, loyal fans, returning trainers, and new players will all fall in love with this game. Highly recommend it. ☺☺☺
