The life of daredevil motorbike rider Evel Knievel is dramatized and brought to the screen by director John Badham (WAR GAMES) with this TNT TV movie. CSI star George Eads plays the intrepid and fearless Knievel, slipping into the trademark red, white, and blue jumpsuit with consummate ease. Some of his death-defying jumps are shown in all their glory, while Knievel's private life is shown as a rags-to-riches story which saw quite a few ups and downs due to his lust for partying. Director Badham uses all his experience on major feature films such as STAKEOUT and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER to make this a cut above the usual TV movie fare, while appearances from Jamie Pressly (NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE) and Beau Bridges (THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS) helps flesh out the cast.

    Great Movie. Buy it.

    I recently rented this movie on Netflix. I enjoyed the movie. I was happy to find it for sale at such a good price. To me it was a lot better and more accurate than the older 1971 movie with George Hamilton. If you are a Evel Knievel fan and or Evel Knievel toy collector like I am you will enjoy the movie and it will be a great addition to your collection. The guy from CSI (George Eads) was really good in the movie, and the girl from My Name is Earl (Jaime Pressly) is good also and still as beautiful as ever. Jamie Pressly grew up 30 miles away from me, so I have always liked her!

    GREAT MOVIE EVEL KNIEVEL THE DEATH DEFYING STUNT MAN HOLDS THE WORLDS RECORD FOR THE MOST BROKEN BONES DID HIS MOTORCYCLE JUMPS IN THE 60s AND 70s THIS MOVIE SHOWS SOME OF THE THINGS HE DID AND HE RETIRED IN 1980 DIED NOVEMBER 30TH AT 69 YEARS OLD- I SAW HIM DO LOTS OF THESE JUMPS IN REAL LIFE THE MOVIE BROUGHT ME BACK IN TIME--THANKS

    Evel, American hero!

    I had wanted to add this movie to my collection of Evel things, it is a great movie about a true American hero/ icon. This is one of the best biopics. And don't let the made for tv part put you off, if you love Evel you owe it to yourself to watch this movie!
