Good replacement,
Pretty close to a Bosch. Works well, the O-ring that comes with it is a little tight and you need to check the points. Comes with cap, rotor, points and cond, those are not the same quality as Bosch parts. I had just tuned up my bug and figured out the old distributer had too much play in it. So I put all the Bosch replacement parts into this one and they all fit, so no worries there. Good value for the money, car runs good, didn't try it with the points and stuff that came with it, they looked OK, just didn't appear to be of the same quality and I had the Bosch ones already.Pretty close to a Bosch. My mechanic is replacing it.
My vw mechanic is literally replacing this brand new distributor that I installed with a 009 Bosch. I've read conflicting reviews on Vacuum vs. centrifugal but apparently my mechanic isn't thinking this distributor is worth much. Something is shorting out the points but it may be the coil (which was also aftermarket). It pays to get genuine parts for your vw. I'm just bummed cause I'm out the price of this distributor and the new (new) one, too.
