    Bold 9650

    This is a replacement for my World Edition 8830 since the trackball dies. This one has a trackpad and may be a bit more durable. It is much the same phone and runs on the old 3G network and is not 4G capable. The form factor is a nice size & good for what Blackberry does best. Since it is difficult to transfer contracts, tasks & other information from a Blackberry to an Android or IOS phone, I'm opting to replace on BB with another as I can close all that & my Password Keeper. Problems with provisioning the phone for data on my network were finally sorted out with the very hard reset of the phone using the MSL method.

    Can’t compare to s smartphone

    I bought this for a home phone. I don’t carry it with me. I was curious about the blackberry. Found it difficult after using a smartphone. Does not have good battery life. But for $20 it’s okay 👍easy to set up with Verizon. Super fast shipping!

    Great device, well done, Blackberry. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 adds Wi-Fi and double the onboard memory. The smartphone offers world-roaming capabilities and the SIM can be unlocked. Nice form factor. It will work on Verizon's network as usual, but when you travel overseas, it will automatically detect and connect to a GSM network, so you can continue to make calls and receive data. Like the Tour, the Bold supports the 2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA band, so you can get 3G support overseas. In addition, the Bold is Verizon's first smartphone to support the carrier's GlobalAccess Connect service, which allows you to use the Bold as a tethered modem while abroad. Plans start at $65 per month with a 5GB data cap in the U.S. and Canada (5 cents per MB overage fee) and 100MB allowance in select countries ...

    Gambled and won. Good deal!

    Good value. Came with charger. Simple to use but had to be shown how as some unique tricks and hidden key unlock button with Blackberry. Middle button scrowles like a laptop pad (who knew?) Sim card geek had to switch settings for me as Canadian stuff is different to American. Works great. Very happy.
