    Anita O'Day Swings Cole Porter

    How can one not enjoy Cole Porter music. Never owned any A.O'Day cd's and thought it would be a good mix to my collection. Her lyrics & interpretation are certainly quite unique compared to the average singer. She dared to be different at a time when it wasn't expected. Like her delivery or not,she expressed her musical feelings on a varieted level. Hal...

    Great swing

    Anita has one of the best voices in jazz. Sultry, with a slight roughness in timbre, her's is a voice that can swing with the best of them. This set of Cole Porter songs is deftly arranged by Billy May (who also arranged some of Frank Sinatra's best swing tunes), and is a joy to listen to. Highly recommended.
