About this product

Product Information

Gorden Hirabayashi, Fred Korematsu, and Minoru Yasui form the focus for this documentary, which follows their remarkable refusal to leave their homes in Japan during 1942--an order passed down to all Japanese citizens with American ancestry. Sadly, those that did leave were mercilessly executed, while Hirabayashi, Korematsu, and Yasui were imprisoned. Forty years after the fact, the battle to clear their names--which forms a sizeable portion of this program--rages on, making this an absorbing hour-long show that illustrates how some people continue to rally against crimes committed against them over 60 years ago.

Shipping was super fast, all disks were in beautiful shape. ONE out of TEN ordered did not come in as described (but they disclaimed that it was not guaranteed in the notes at the bottom - They should change the picture then as they claim to have two more). I WOULD order from them again and would recommend them to others.

THIS DOCUMENTARY IS A WELL DONE, ACCURATE DEPICTION OF THE EVENTS OF POST PEARL HARBOR RACIAL INJUSTICE. IT WOULD BE A WONDERFUL AND EDUCATIONAL TOOL IF USED IN THE SCHOOL SYSTEMS ACROSS THIS COUNTRY TO SHOW HOW PANIC, IGNORANCE, MISREPRESENTATIONS, AND HATRED CAN AFFECT PUBLIC OPINION. THE LANDMARK COURT CASES REPRESENTED AND THE SUPREME COURT REVERSALS HAVE SET PRECIDENCE TO INSURE THAT INCARCERATION WITHOUT CAUSE BECAUSE OF RACE WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PRODUCERS FOR A JOB WELL DONE. HATS OFF TO THE THREE PRINCIPALS AS WELL FOR TAKING A STAND FOR THEIR CONSITTUIONAL RIGHTS.
