  • The Zen X-Fi will give the Nano a Run For Its Money

The Creative Zen X-Fi, what an amazing little player. Pricing first: the Zen X-Fi 16GB has the same MSRP as the 8GB iPod Nano. Plus, the X-Fi has nice features such as FM radio, voice recording, SD card expandability, an external speaker, and premium earphones. The X-Fi also has wireless chat, but this needs to be improved with future updates as it is clumsy and not very intuitive. Sound quality wise, the X-Fi sounds GREAT. And this is just with the earphones, not with the X-Fi feature turned on. In fact, I felt that the X-Fi actually muffled the sound a bit--it did not improve sound quality in my opinion. The $60 noise-isolating EP-830 earphones are sufficient for one of the best sounding MP3 players out of the box, way better audio quality than a typical iPod's. Design wise, I thought ...

  • ZEN X-FI (16 gb) MP3 Player

This is my first MP3 player, my wife has an I-Pod Nano and this player blows the Nano away. I wanted a player with a FM radio built in so I could listen to Sports talk at work. Our network people block streaming video and audio, so the only way to listen to favorite radio stations is the old fashion way with a FM tuner. So far so good. I don't like the software that comes with the device, it is difficult to use, so I just drag and drop using Windows Media Player 11 that works fine. Videos are the best on this unit the clarity of the screen is amazing, I downloaded over 150 photo's as well. At first then 9 buttons were confusing but eventually I ficured them out. The documentation with the unti leaves a lot to be desired, so after playing with the unit for a couple of days I ficured ...

  • Great Battery, great screen, SD card Slot, easy to use and resistant.

Very reliable, with an extremely long battery life. This MP3 Player can resist to many more things than another. The SD card slot is very practical when you want to watch movies, without puting them on the device. The LAN wi-fi is pretty much useless as well as the chat feature. Just turn them off, and profit from the rest of the device. Ordered this one to replace my Creative ZEN MX that was two years old and still able to work well, but needed a new one. I tried a Sansa Fuze+ , but it was very disapointing compared to this Creative X-Fi

  • Music Love MP3 Player + Extra useless buttons! :P

I had the Creative zen MX which was great! it was awesome having it, after it finally died from its last and final high plummet it was time to get a new Creative. The MX was very durable and had gone through countless beatings before finally giving out by all means it was the best of the mp3's I had owned. It's a pretty close experience with the X-fi. Love the crystalizer make my music, especially with heavy techno bass, sound awesome. It seems to be as equally durable as the MX I owned. It's about the same size and does everything my old MX did and more. It is also in someways not as good as the MX. The only complaints I guess I'll have is that the buttons are kinda hard to get a response from the 4 corner buttons in the middle have almost No usefulness. Also if they had given it the MX ...

  • So far, so good

This item has been excellent. I bought this item to replace my old Creative Zen that had a cracked screen. I did a fair amount of research into this product before I purchased it. The main criteria that I was looking for was a device that I could use with my RhapsodyToGo membership. After a few weeks, I've not had a problem with the subscription music. Another bonus that I have discovered is the use of the ZenCast application for podcasts. I subscribe to about 9 different podcasts (audio and video) - I've not had a problem watching or listening to any of the podcasts. I also found out that using the Creative Video Converter software, I can copy recorded shows from my Windows 7 MCE to my X-FI (always a nice break in the work day to watch a little Family Guy). It takes a little bit of ...
