About this product

Product Information

SimEarth: The Living Planet is an adaptation of Maxis Software's 1990 PC game. You are in control of your own planet, nurturing it from birth until its eventual destruction ten billion years into the future. There are several decisions you must make regarding your planet, such as which species should be first; the type of atmosphere; whether or not to create forests, deserts or oceans to develop new life; or using volcanoes, meteor showers or tidal waves to help shape your world the "natural" way.

Using various maps, graphs and slider bars, you'll be able to adjust each detail of your world to your liking. Three levels of difficulty are available for budding environmentalists, and there are eight different planets to choose from. If you still can't find a worthy place to call your home, you can create a randomly generated planet and start from scratch. Who knows? Maybe humans won't be the most advanced species in your world. This 8-Meg cartridge includes battery backup to save your planet's progress during the multiple scenarios.

Excellent packaging, item as described, was able to get to a price that was decent with it having to be shipped to the USA and currency difference . Also welcome to the seller with taking time to leave a nice message on the packaging enclosed with the case. Definitely would purchase again from them

Excellent seller, would not hesitate to buy from again. Item was delivered promptly, and clearly had been handled with care. I used to think it was dumb that you could attach a photo to your feedback, but I think this picture shows exactly how well cared for the item was.

  • Can't beat the price

For a retro game and it being a SIM game the price was very good. Although I don't have a manual for this game, its very hard to understand how to play it. But I just figured since it is a SIM game that it'd be fun. Plus I've always wanted a SIM Earth game or something like that. A SIM Universe would be AWESOME!!!!

  • SimEarth: It's not Simcity

Any game with "Sim" in the title usually captures my interest. In the case of SimEarth, the potential is promising: Play "god", of a planet! Cool, right? In the case of SimEarth, you really do play god. Literally culturing single celled organizims into inteligent life by manipulating environmental conditions. Honestly I never did well in biology and this game reminds me of the helplessness I felt trying grasp 8th grade biology lessons. Add to this the difficult interface. Pressing buttons the conditioned gamers would press to execute commands wind up doing the opposite of what you have planned. Overall, unless you have the time to learn all the details, I would suggest you stick to SimCity.

  • Not bad.

    They tried.

  • great game

The classic game that lets you build and destroy anything and every thing you want. It's as much fun as Sim City and Sim City 2000 there isn't another game out there like it
