Along the way, he romances Dr. Claire Lewicki (Nicole Kidman), a beautiful neurosurgeon. Hogge's mentoring (and a potential tragedy) leads Trickle through the dramatic process of self-discovery, which ultimately makes him a better driver. Directed by Tony Scott, DAYS OF THUNDER is reminiscent of his TOP GUN, the film that rocketed Cruise to stardom. Scott uses spectacular driving and racing scenes in this film, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Sound.

Days of Thunder Never Looked So Good!
Anyone curious as to whether or not buying older movies on Blu-Ray is worth it, worry not! The clarity of this movie is absolutely amazing and the surround sound is AWESOME. I've owned this movie on VHS and seen it on DVD and neither could compare to the visually stunning remaster in 1080p. It looks like it could have been filmed yesterday! Days of Thunder is a timeless classic racing movie that is supercharged with new life on Blu-Ray. I would suggest anyone who loved this movie as much as I did growing up to pick it up today!Anyone curious as to whether or not buying older movies on Blu-Ray is worth it, worry not! Great Item could not ask for more. It is Days of Thunder what can I say it speaks for its self. I over played the Vhs tape, then I went to the DVD now I have the blue ray. The picture is awesome and so is the sound. I am so glad I purchased this DVD. Its brand new and a great Item. I wish it would have been in the store. I have it now so there are no more worries!
