    Great product and it does work with Shimano Chains.

    This quick link is great for those who service their own bikes frequently. The price is great. I have several cyclist that use this link on their Shimano chains and have never heard of any issues. Even when we had a rear derailleur come apart and locked up the wheel and chain locked up, the link gave and kept the bike from further destruction.

    "Quicklink Link" NOT Quick!

    Upon installing the last three replacement chains, I've had to use an OLD Quicklink to connect the loose ends of each of the three new chains. The new Quicklinks will NOT close by using chain link pliers, or needle-nosed pliers, or the "spin the wheeled and jam the brakes" ploy! Make sure and save your old Quicklinks to connect the ends of a new chain!

    Never leave home without it

    SRAM PowerLink is one of the best things invented for chains. Genius. You can easily and quickly fix a broken chain in the field. It will last for the life of your chain. Must have with you whenever you ride. Just make sure you buy the link for the amount of speeds you have on your rear cassette because they are size specific.

    A Good System that Works for Riders and Sellers

    Altho this system of Chain-installing is a healthy step forward, now that the Locking-links are one-time-use only, Sram et al. can charge whatever they want. Also the Links are rather difficult to remove/install without the TOOL, so that's another negative that could improve.

    Easy to install, rotate the powerlock around to the topside and use the rear brake to snap it in place while pushing the pedals.
