    Making Applesauce

    Prior to getting this we were peeling and coring the apples. Aside from time consuming we were probably wasting a lot of the apples. Now we slice the apples and put them in the Food Mill. Quicker, easier, and hardly any waste. It comes with 3 discs. Good quality; that's why we chose Weston because we have other Weston items.

    Doesn't perform well

    First, I'm a chef 17yrs in the industry, I've used a food mill a few times. This food mill wouldn't push pudding through it. The blades sit to high over the disc. Not worth it at all. Spend a few dollars more and get a better grade food mill. Again, waste of money.

    Durable, and great for sauces

    This works great for applesauce and tomato sauce. For chunky tomato sauce, which I was hoping for, will need to use another method.

    Not like old fashioned food mills

    I tried to use this to separate tomato seeds from fresh cooked tomatoes to make sauce. It didn't do a quick job of forcing the pulp thru the medium screen and leaving the seeds above the screen for removal.
