    Upgrades to this model (1TB SS HD, 6gb RAM) make it as good as the newer versions

    This unit looks like new, is fairly clean, no dents or noticeable scratches. Previous owner clearly showed a lot of care by upgrade the hard drive to solid state and added 2 gb more RAM. Seen previous offers for less or more money with a lot less to offer. So far this is a good value for my money.

    late 2009 MacBook Pro 17"

    This is my 3rd 17" MBP, and although it is amazing, there are a few things i do not like about it: Previous 17's had surprisingly great sound, but this new 17" has horrible sound. Speaker grill holes are like pinholes, and the sound is very thin and tinny. Also, the new glass trackpad. What a bad design. I had to actually open the laptop up to adjust the click pressure, it was VERY loud (CLICK) and hard to press down. I very much miss the older separate button. Screen resolution is incredible, but with that higher rez, system fonts and text within all applications is much smaller, so if you have bad eyesight, you might want to pass on the 17" and go for the 15".     Apple Macbook PRO 17"

    Excellent computer by 2009 standards and today as well. Plenty of memory and options for what I am using it for. it's a Mac so no viruses just like all my other Mac's that I still own dating back to 1998.

    MacBook Pro 17

    This is the second used Mac laptop I have purchased and I have been very pleased with both. I needed to upgrade to a faster machine as the 5 year old model was now too slow. The MacBook Pro 17 is perfect for my needs and has all the features I was looking for. The lighted keyboard is also a nice touch.
