When I was a kid I had and Auntie whose Mother always stated, "If I ever need a Lawyer, I'm going to get Perry Mason." I remember answering back, " You know, he's NOT real." She seemed to really believe in him and his belief that his client was innocent and would go all out to prove it. She was not an educated lady, but that endeared Perry Mason to me. I love the relationships and a dash of humor mixed with seriousness. I always enjoy Mr. Mason saying,' One day I'm going to get a client that tells me the truth, or I can't fight the law and YOU (client) too; when they withhold information from him he has to find out the hard way. Raymond Burr is excellent in this role and I read he stayed long hours to perfect this role and it shows! At the time, he was quite believable, so much so he ... One of the top TV shows of all time. Burr is great, as is the rest of the cast. Always good stories, dramatic, funny and engaging. After watching for awhile you develop a fondness for the characters- they feel like family. It truly fills out the old adage "They don't make 'em like this anymore."
