North & South Book II: Love & war (1995) VHS
Since my wife & I are eager to know all we can about our Early American History, this continuing drama from "North & South Book I" presents it in a dramatic way with some fine acting. We decided to buy it because we found it on ebay for a very good price from an excellent ebayer. With the hope that we will one day get to Williamsburg, VA (and vicinity) and walk where history was made while we celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (...which was 3 years ago), we purchased "Book II". This makes an inexpensive movie date for us and helps pass away the days in winter when schools are closed. I especially enjoyed seeing the war buffs and reenactors take part in the many battles between the north & south. They made it very realistic. This is one of a few series that was done with a lot of ... Years ago when the saga was a Mini series we enjoyed it so much and I later purchased the first book on video. I had been looking for a long time for Book two and found it on Ebay so bought it. However after I bought it the person discovered that the sixth eposode was missing and refunded my money but sent what she had anyway. So we enjoyed what she sent even tho one episode was missing. Now I have been looking for the sixth episode but it seems no one wants to just sell one tape or disc so all I can do is hope I can find it to rent or maybe find it at a garage sale this summer. This video is truly a masterpiece and is so spellbinding. This along with Book 1 is a wonderful set of movies. While they are fictional it certainly gives the kids a feel for what all happened in the South. It has created an appreciate for studying history. My entire family has enjoyed watching these time and time again. It really doesn't matter how many times we've seen them we also sit together to watch them.

The story continues! A good movie mine series
This great mini series helped get us through the writer's stike. I'm glad I bought it--I think we will watch it over & over. I also bought it on DVD (all three books on the DVD) I never want it to end.
