    Leaves of Gold (1995, Hardcover)

    My family doctor had the book, Leaves of Gold, in his waiting room. It is loaded with quotations of famous and not so famous people from before 1935. Some are witty, others spiritual and faith building, others philosophical. When I saw the doctor I asked where he'd gotten the book. I learned that a patient with terminal cancer gave it to him about four years ago just before he died. The patient felt the book would calm them as they waited to see the doctor. To me the "Tree of Life" in the Bible is the cross. Adam and Eve chose the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and died spiritually. They could have chosen the "Tree of Life" and lived forever. God removed the "Tree of Life" from the Garden so they could not eat of it and live forever with an unrepentant nature. To come to ...

    Best and most beautiful book of poetry and wisdom. Leaves of Gold is phenomenol!The binding and covering is beutiful. The poetry can be used for funerals, weddings,anniversaries, etc. In fact one was used for a memorial. I treasure its publication and it woill be an heirloom.
