While I am happy and find no fault with the vendor, I was less impressed with the product itself. The way it was packaged was in a mass market blister pack that made the item seem chintzy. It’s probably because the item itself comes from china that I find myself questioning the bonafides of a Japanese knife.

    Very elegant

I was very pleased witb this knife .the knife blade is thin and very sharp.the handle is also thin which makes this knife an easy pocket carry in its elegant leather sheath.it works very well.I need to cut my steak or chicken inyo small pieces and its qiite an advantsge to be able to reach in my pocket and use a sharp unassuming knife....its triely a gentleman's knife

  • Super sharp and classy looking

Sure, I could have got one from the same company with a fancy name. I doubt it would be any sharper. This one cuts through meat like butter. Wish it had a small loop on the sheath for external carry, but I could easily cut a slot or add one. Great price, no exaggerated claims. What else could you want?

  • A good purchase

Traditional steak knives in restaurants can be less than desirable when trying to cut into a good steak. Thus, this folding steak knife alleviates this issue. One can quickly demolish one's steak and do it with "panache." The same way producing a pair of collapsible chopsticks can do. Good price, good value and worth the effort. Highly recommend this knife.

  • Good value and nicely made.

If you don't want to spend $100 for a Kai 5900, this is the closest you can get. When I compare it to my other 5900, there're noticeable differences. This knife edge is only sharp toward the front of the blade, not the whole length. But that's where you actually used to cut, so it doesn't maters that much. Good value.

  • Almost the same as the Shun, which costs around $100. Only difference is handle material and leather pouch.

Very similar to Shun at half the price.
