    Lucinda Williams CD-West

    Lucinda West is a great song writer, but you must be in the mood for her style of music. Most of her music sounds alike, and a good bit of it is on the down or depressed side. She pulls no punches when describing love affairs gone wrong. Her music reminds me of Neil Young. It is not something you would listen to with young children as there are many references to sex and some very descriptive lyrics. It is one of my favorite CD's, but it is something you wouldn't put on without thinking about it first due to the sexual content and "love gone wrong" theme of many of the songs.

    From The South Going West

    I met Lucinda in the 90's, in Austin, Texas, It was only a brief meeting since I was at the club meeting my friend Steve Young. She did not play live that night...However, Lucinda was nice and courteous before 1998 when she got her Grammy. She has gone on to release several albums mostly good to me. "West" has a great photo of her on the front which is framed quite a bit better than TV with a still camera. Nice color shot and how I would like to remember her. Car Wheels (1998) is also a fave of mine. The songs on West have a nice laidback feel to them mostly with good pickers included. She always has good taste in my opinion! Try "West"....From Ebay.

    Love her music and the strength it gives me

    Lucinda Williams music touches my soul and I can relate to a lot of her songs that have to do with independence, relationships, heartaches, men being cruel for no reason other than just to be cruel. I have found that some of her songs have cleared my head and helped me put a lot of my life into perspective and i have become more assertive because of it and i am finding out who i really am and what "i" want in and out of life.
